How to care for your pairs of sneakers:

LEATHER PARTS:

Before using for the first time:

  1. You can apply a leather balm to protect against moisture. You can also apply a waterproofing product, especially for rainy days.
  • Be careful not to apply the waterproofing or the balm to the areas where the brand logos are applied, so as not to damage these areas irreversibly (erasing).
  • Always test your products on a small area to check that it does not damage the leather and follow the product instructions for correct use.
  • For suede and nubuck, stop at the dusting stage as these materials do not like water!

Cleaning:

  1. Clean the leather with our Kwash dry brush to remove dust and prevent it from sticking later. To clean, we recommend you remove the laces. Pour 50ml of hot water (the equivalent of an espresso cup) into a container and add 5 doses of our Kwash soap (this corresponds to 5 presses on the pump). Use the brush to mix the liquids (water + soap). Once the filaments are well soaked, let the excess run into the container. Use the soft side of the brush to make circular movements on the pair, in a dynamic way but without pressing too hard and without soaking the leather, taking care not to damage your trainer. For our M101s, avoid areas printed with logos.
  2. Wipe the leather as you go along with the absorbent pad to prevent the foam containing the dirt from accumulating.
  3. After this step, locate the most stubborn stains and use the hard side of the brush to try to remove them.
  4. Finish by drying your pair with the absorbent pad.
  5. Apply a nourishing cream to the leather from time to time to protect and nourish it. You can use a cream specially designed for leather.
  6. If your shoes are very worn or if the leather is very dry, you can use a special leather nourisher to repair them. Follow the instructions on the product to use it correctly.

ORGANIC COTTON LACES:
  1. Add the laces to the solution (water + soap) and leave them to soak until you have finished cleaning (if the solution is too dirty, feel free to make another one with 5 doses of soap).
  2. Rinse the laces in hot water and air dry.
  3. It’s important not to use harsh chemicals or expose them to too high a temperature, as this could damage the natural fibres of organic cotton.

THE RECYCLED RUBBER SOLE:
  1. Start by removing all visible dirt using our Kwash brush.
  2. Use our Kwash soap or 50ml of hot water (the equivalent of an espresso cup) and add 5 doses of soap (this corresponds to 5 presses on the pump).
  3. Use the brush to mix the liquids. Once the filaments are well soaked, let the excess run into the container. Use the soft side of the brush to make circular movements on the sole, in a dynamic way but without damaging the trainer.
  4. Wipe the sole as you go with the absorbent pad to prevent the foam containing the dirt from accumulating.
  5. After this step, locate the most stubborn stains and use the hard side of the brush to try and remove them.
  6. Finish by drying your soles with the absorbent pad.
  7. It’s important not to use harsh chemicals or put the shoes near a heat source, as this could damage the recycled rubber.

THE INSOLE (INSIDE):
  1. Remove the sole from the inside of the trainer and air it out to remove odours (if necessary).
  2. If the odour persists you can sprinkle a small amount of bicarbonate.
  3. For the leather upper part, refer to the chapter “LEATHER PARTS”.
  4. Regularly clean the insoles of your shoes to avoid the accumulation of bacteria and bad odours.

STORAGE:
  • To preserve the quality of your brush, we recommend that you rinse it with water and then leave it to dry with the filaments facing downwards to drain off any excess water. Be careful not to expose it to heat or sunlight.
  • For the absorbent pad, you can clean it by hand with soap and water or machine wash it with light-coloured cloths.

CAUTION:
  • Do not put Eris Mizar sneakers in the washing machine, even on the delicate cycle. Leather does not wash!
  • Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct light. You can use shoe trees to maintain their shape and prevent them from deforming.
